For ten years now, the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul has been holding a “sleep walk” to raise money to purchase beds for those in need in the community.
To date they have raised money to purchase over 3,500 beds, but that demand always exceeds what they have to give and they are looking to the community and to school groups to help raise funds needed this year.
The walk takes place on May 31st with registration starting at 7:30am at Assumption Church. The walk starts at 8am and takes a 3k route along the river front and back to the church.
Refreshments including coffee, tea, water and juice along with muffins and donuts will be served.
To participate you can call their office at 519-253-7481.
