The Windsor International Film Festival is looking for the public’s help in selecting ten culturally significant films to be screened during the festival’s 10th anniversary celebrations in November.
Starting today, the Film Festival will spotlight one film a day for 20 days on their website, over email and social media. All 20 films have screened at the festival since 2005. The public will be asked to vote for their top 10 film choices based on popularity, quality, and memorability.
“WIFF wants the public to be engaged in helping us celebrate our 10th Anniversary,” says Executive Director Vincent Georgie. “What better way than to give serious weight to their film selections.”
Voting takes place Wednesday, June 10th to Wednesday, June 17th. The selected top 10 film titles will be revealed in September and screened during WIFF 2014.
“This is not just an opinion poll,” says Georgie. “The public’s vote is a collective endorsement of WIFF’s rich cinematic history.”
The 2014 Film Festival runs from Saturday, November 1st to Sunday, November 9th.
