Windsor’s unemployment rate has climbed more than a percentage point since March.
In figures released today by Statistics Canada, Windsor’s unemployment rate jumped from 7.3% in March to 8.4% in April.
The rise in the unemployment rate comes after the number of unemployed people rose from 12,000 to 13,800 between the two months.
Windsor’s unemployment rate is above the national rate, 6.9%.
