PHOTOS: Thousands Get Muddy For Heart Breaker Challenge

More than a thousand people battled against mud and obstacles at Malden Park for the 2014 Heart Breaker Challenge, Saturday afternoon.

The event was a fundraiser for the Cardiac Wellness & Pulmonary Rehab Centre at Hotel-Dieu Grace Healthcare’s Tayfour Campus.

“100 per cent of the funds raised support these two great programs right here in our community,” says Hotel Dieu’s Jason Petro. “Heart Breaker is about having fun, and challenging yourself and your fellow Heart Breakers while promoting an active lifestyle.”

Participants ran in teams of four and ran through twenty obstacles including a straw pyramid, a wall climb, a water slide, and several mud traps.
