A recent survey conducted by the Town of Tecumseh shows that more than nine-in-ten Tecumseh residents satisfied with public services provided by the Town.
The survey, which was conducted by Probe Research Inc., showed that 58% of residents are very satisfied while 39% are somewhat satisfied with town services.
This survey also asked residents to rank their satisfaction with a number of specific services that the Town provides, and it found that for the most part, satisfaction with public services is higher in Tecumseh than it is in other Canadian municipalities surveyed by Probe Research.
“This survey is very worthwhile as it identifies our strengths and weaknesses, and confirms that we are going in the right direction” says Mayor, Gary McNamara.
When it comes to quality of life, 47% say it is “excellent”, while 48% say it is “good”. More than four-in-five citizens, or 84% believe that the community is headed in the right direction.
The Town-wide survey was conducted by telephone interviews conducted between March 18th and March 24th, 2014 among a random and representative sampling of 402 adult residents of Tecumseh. With a sample of 402, one can say with 95 percent certainty that the results are within +/- 4.9 percentage points of what they would have been if the entire adult population of Tecumseh had been interviewed.
