Fire Starts At Farm Near City Limits

Windsor firefighters battled a blaze in a farm field near Tecumseh.
Crews were called early Monday afternoon to County Road 17 south of Baseline in the Sandwich South area for reports of bales of hay burning.
Firefighters were seen working to pull apart bales of hay and applying water to smouldering areas.
Four firefighting vehicles are on the scene and crews worked to lay a large length of hose from the nearest fire hydrant some distance down the street.
No injuries are reported. The fire is producing smoke that is visible from the 401.
