The annual Crime Stoppers Take Back Your Drugs and Community Shredding Day was a huge success.

The event was held on Saturday, April 12th in the  parking lot of Devonshire Mall.

Windsorites disposed of their unwanted medication and also dropped off their documents to be confidentially shredded for a minimal donation.

Organizers say that that an all time record was set: residents disposed of over 360 pounds of medication and a street value of nearly $20,000 worth of narcotics.

The shredding event was also successful with close to 300 boxes of sensitive documents.

The event will return in September.
