Eddie Francis has big plans to stay in the community when his current term as mayor ends this fall.
Francis has been hired at Windsor Family Credit Union as Executive Vice President, Operations and Member Experience and will start his new job on December 1st.
WFCU president and CEO Marty Komsa was thrilled to welcome Francis on board at a news conference this morning. “Eddie has led the City of Windsor with his heart, soul and with the tenacious mind of a savvy businessperson. These are qualities that fit perfectly with Windsor Family Credit Union and its future.”
Komsa, who grew WFCU from $200m in assets to more than $1.6 billion, also announced he will continue in his position as president and CEO at WFCU, potentially ending rumours that he had planned to run for mayor. Komsa says he’s committing to another five years at WFCU.
Francis’ role at WFCU will include strategic oversight in areas such as finance, accounting, human resources, marketing and community investment.
