The United Way/Centraide of Windsor-Essex County is asking residents to choose the most important community priorities by taking an online survey.

The United Way says that in 2009, they engaged over 3,000 people from a broad cross section of the community. So far this time they have spoken to almost 750 people about their aspirations for the community. It was from these community conversations the questions for the 2014 “Together We Dream” survey was created.

“No other organization or group engages the community to the extent that United Way does,” says Interim CEO Lorraine Goddard.

Respondents will be asked to rank a series of goal statements. These rankings, along with our own research will be used to determine where United Way will focus its resources from 2015 to 2020.

The survey is anonymous and it takes about five minutes to complete. Respondents will be given the option to provide some demographic information in order for us to ensure we reach a broad cross-section of Windsor-Essex residents.

The survey runs until Thursday March 13th at 6pm, and is available online at here. Residents can also take the survey over the phone by calling 211 (multi-lingual services available),

The results of the survey will be made public later this spring.
