The Olympic games kick off today, and the Windsor/Essex County Humane Society is getting into the Olympic spirit with a special adoption promotion.
During the entire winter games, adopters will have the chance to win 10 percent, 25 percent, or even 50 percent off their adoption fee. When Canada wins, adopters win because they’ve found a new best friend, and the animals win because they’ve found a forever home.
Whenever a Canadian athlete wins a medal, all adopters who applied to adopt in the day (24 hours) prior to the medal ceremony will receive a discount on their adoption fee. A gold medal will result in a 50 percent discount, with 25 and 10 percent discounts for silver and bronze. The discount applies to the adoption of any animal, and cannot be combined with any other offers.
The Adoption Centre is open Saturday through Tuesday from 11am to 6pm and Wednesday through Friday from 11am to 8pm.
Photos and bios of adoptable animals are also available on our their website.
