Lorelei’s Bistro on Wyandotte Street East as seen Sunday night
Popular Walkerville restaurant Lorelei’s Bistro has closed its doors and covered its windows temporarily after a water pipe damaged much of the interior.
windsoriteDOTca was alerted to the closure after readers told us the building’s windows were covered over with paper.
An after-hours call to the restaurant revealed that the building suffered from a burst water pipe and flooding.
Management posted on its website that the restaurant was closed until further notice “due to massive flooding.”
Owners said in a message that they will be “in the middle of renovations until at least February 7th” and that the status of their reopening will not likely be known until that time.
