The Essex Region Conservation Authority has issued a flood watch for Windsor-Essex.
ERCA’s Tim Byrne says that frozen ground conditions, moisture-laden snow cover and a precipitation forecast for over 20mm over the next day have promoted the Authority to issue a watch.
ERCA says the possibility of flooding exists throughout the Essex region in low-lying areas and in areas of poor drainage. Isolated, heavy downpours may also result in localized flooding.
The watch was issued Friday afternoon and is in effect until 9am Monday.
