Three hundred fewer people are unemployed in the Windsor area.
In September, 15,300 people were unemployed in the Windsor area. In October, that number fell to approximately 15,000.
In all, the unemployment rate fell from 9.2% to 9.0%, putting Windsor second to Saint John, New Brunswick’s unemployment rate of 9.4%.
Windsor’s unemployment rate is still higher than the provincial rate, 7.4%, and the national rate, 6.9%.
