St. John Ambulance in conjunction with Sparky’s Toy Drive will be hosting a Stuff an Ambulance With Love toy drive event this Saturday and Sunday from 9am to 6pm at the Wal-Mart location at 3120 Dougall Avenue.
Event organizers say that the event has been a large success over the past four years and that they have managed to collect a total of over $10,000 worth of toy donations thanks to an outpouring of community support.
This year, they are once again asking for the help of the good people of the City of Windsor to once again help them reach their goal of filling one of their Ambulances with Toys for the needy children of Windsor and Essex County.
They say that there is a strong need for toys for boys and girls aged 11 and 12, and for all children aged 11 to 14 this year and they ask contributors to consider those ages when purchasing toys for the drive this year.
This is an effort led by the 845 Windsor Frontier Youth Division of St. John Ambulance Windsor-Essex. The majority of these members are between the ages of 11 and 17 and are community minded individuals helping others in their community.
