Windsor’s first-ever craft beer festival takes place this weekend.
The 1st Annual Windsor Craft Beer Fest will be held on Friday October 18th and Saturday October 19th at the corner of Wyandotte Street East and Argyle Road.
The event, being put on by award-winning culinary tourism company Windsor Eats, will be the first of its kind for the area which is home to only two craft breweries: Motor Craft Ales and the Walkerville Brewery.
Organizer Adriano Ciotoli says around 2000 tickets have already been purchased to the event and they’re going fast. “We encourage all those interested in attending the festival to purchase their tickets in advance. Not only will they save $5, but with the festival site having limited capacity, once the allotted amount of tickets are sold, no more will be available for entry.”
The WCBF will host several craft breweries from across Ontario along with Windsor’s two, under the roofs of tents, right in the heart of Walkerville. Over 2000 people are anticipated to attend over the course of the two-day event.
Ciotoli says “online ticket sales end at midnight prior to each day of the festival, giving guests plenty of opportunity to purchase.”
Tickets are $25 online or $30 at the gate and include 5 tokens, each good for a 4oz sample of craft beer, and a Windsor Craft Beer Festival sampling glass.
