As streetscape improvements along Ottawa Street head into the final stages of construction, the BIA is looking to add a new element to it.

The BIA recently send a letter to the City of Windsor with a request for permission to install clocks on the arch at Ottawa Street and Windermere.

The new clocks will be 24″ in diameter and run by a lithium battery.

In its request to the city, the BIA states that they do not feel they need a permit for this project, but just permission noting that the clocks on Ouellette, in the Wyandotte BIA, and the ones at the new tunnel plaza all did not need a permit.

The request goes before council Monday night.
