Youth To Raise Smoking Awareness By Hosting Outdoor Movie Event

The Windsor-Essex County Health Unit and the City of Windsor will be hosting a free outdoor movie event along with a variety of fun family activities that promote tobacco-free living.
Youth volunteers, adult allies, and community partners who care about how media messaging impacts the health of youth will facilitate the activities, and provide information about how smoking in movies affects our kids. The evening will father a caveman theme with some activities include prehistoric rock painting, boulder bowling , a caveman fashion show. Plus. show up in your best caveman costume for a chance to win prizes.
The event takes place in Lanspeary Park, located at 250 Langlois on Friday September 20th at 6:30pm. The movie begins at dusk, so bring your lawn chairs and blankets and enjoy a movie under the stars. This family-oriented event will be fun for all ages.
