The loss of a loved pet can be heartbreaking, and the Windsor/Essex County Humane Society has been helping pet owners through this process for several years through their pet loss support program.
Now the program has been expanded to include a special afternoon event commemorating beloved pets who no longer walk with us but remain close in spirit.
Paws to Remember is a service in honour of all the pets that have passed. This will be a non-denominational service to remember the pets that have touched our lives and hearts. The service will include readings, speakers and music.
The service takes place this Sunday at 3pm.
Reservations are not required, but if attendees would like their pet’s name mentioned in the service and the program, they should register by Thursday, September 19th by calling 519-966-5751 ext 23 or by email [email protected].
This service is free to attend and all are welcome. They ask attendees to please bring a lawn chair and a photo of their pet.
