Opening Soon: Old Sweet T’s Soul Cookin / Smoke and Spice Location to Become “Mamo Burger Bar”

The former Sweet T’s Soul Cookin and Smoke and Spice location on Ottawa Street is set to become a new concept this September.

“We’ve been throwin’ around this idea for a burger joint for about two years now, and we’ve decided to do it in style,” the owners announced this morning.

Mamo Burger Bar will feature “fun burger creations” with local ingredients and a special ‘Classic Cheeseburger’ that the restaurant says “makes-you-feel-like-a-kid-again”.

The name Mamo comes from the owners’ first restaurant, Mamo Bistro, on Wyandotte in Riverside.

The restaurant is currently looking to hire a few people – resumes can be hand delivered to Smoke and Spice at 7470 Tecumseh Road East.

Mamo Burger Bar will open in early September at 1515 Ottawa Street.
