The International Children’s Games take over Windsor-Essex this week.
Here are some fun facts about the games!
- Subway restaurants will serve up 8,000 6-inch sandwiches. That’s over 13 soccer fields in length.
- Koolini will cook up pasta for more than 3,000 people at the closing ceremony.
- Milk, juice and water will b served to 1,500+ athletes daily.
- 0 carbonated sodas will be served.
- 12,000 local volunteers and team ambassadors will welcome athletes and help visitors.
- BASF Canada will distribute 5,000 refillable water bottles.
- 150 gold, 150 silver and 166 bronze medals will be awarded.
- 10,599,153 500mL water bottles would fill the Aquatics Centre pool.
