A four year old girl remains in hospital after being attacked by a dog on Thursday.
Chatham-Kent Police say the four year old was playing in her backyard around 6:30pm, when another resident’s eight month old American Bulldog escaped out of its residence, ran after and tackled the young child to the ground.
The child suffered deep lacerations to the head, and was transported by EMS to hospital.
The dog was removed by Chatham-Kent OSPCA that evening, and it remains in quarantine.
OSPCA and the Chatham-Kent Police Service are continuing to investigate.
