Windsor Police are investigating after several cars were torched in a used car lot on Tecumseh Road East.

Firefighters were called just after 3:30am to a used car lot near Rose-Ville Garden Drive.

A reader told windsoriteDOTca that bright flashes and heavy flames could be seen coming from the vehicles.

Fire crews brought the blaze under control and used hoses to prevent the fire from spreading to the dealership building.

Windsor Fire says four vehicles were intentionally set causing $15,000 in damages.

The fire is being treated as an Arson as evidence of gasoline and flares were located at the scene. Windsor Police conducted a canvass of the area and the Windsor Police Arson Unit is continuing with the investigation today.

Anyone with any information in relation to this case is asked to call police at (519)-255-6700 ex 4333 or anonymously to Crime Stoppers at (519)-258-TIPS (8477)
