Tree Catches Fire Near Pillette And Wyandotte

Residents in the Pillette Village area were surprised to come home to a tree on fire just before 5pm today.
Fire crews were called to near Pillette and Wyandotte and found a tree burning and smoking near power lines.
It’s not immediately clear if a lightning strike from a storm caused the tree to be set ablaze.
Fire crews worked with Enwin Utilities to isolate power from a nearby hydro line to put the fire out.
