ENDED: Severe Thunderstorm Warning In Effect, Storms Threaten County

Environment Canada has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Windsor-Essex.

While skies are sunny in Windsor, a large thunderstorm is threatening parts of the county including but not limited to Kingsville, Leamington, Wheatley and other Lake Erie north shore communities.

Environment Canada says at 1:55pm EDT, meteorologists were tracking a slow moving severe thunderstorm with very heavy downpours capable of producing localized flooding.

Communities in the path include: Leamington and Wheatley.

Emergency Management Ontario recommends that you take cover immediately, if threatening weather approaches.
