Wednesday night, this San Francisco based band sold out every seat in the Colosseum at Caesars Windsor; this band is also known as the legendary Journey.
Along with the original (and new) members – guitarist Neal Schon, bassist Ross Valory, keyboardist and guitarist Jonathan Cain, and Deen Castronovo on drums – the audience was awed by the sultry notes and atmospheric vocals that are Arnel Pineda.
The band opened with “Separate Ways (Worlds Apart),” and played classics like “Any Way You Want It,” “Open Arms,” “Faithfully,” and “Wheel in the Sky.” Schon’s guitar solo of the Canadian National Anthem brought every member of the crowd to their feet with honour. As for their encore, it was “Don’t Stop Believin'” and “Lovin’ Touchin’ Squeezin’.”
When exiting, there were faint echoes of “na na na’s” joined in unison heard throughout the corridors of the casino.
