An unveiling was held this afternoon at The Safety Village for a new Anti-Bullying Outdoor Wall Mural, and Stephanie Kinghorn Memorial Peace Garden.

Past and present Riverside Secondary Students and the family and friends of Stephanie Kinghorn conceived the wall mural and Memorial Peace Garden in memory of their daughter and friend.  The mural was designed and painted by Riverside Secondary School students themselves.

Stephanie ended her life at the young age of 15 as a result of being bullied in high school.

It is the hopes of her family and friends that this new corner in the Rotary Children’s Safety Village will serve as a quiet space for reflection and a reminder to be respectful of others.
