Windsor Firefighters To Honour Fallen Comrades, Sunday

Windsor Fire and Rescue and the Windsor Professional Firefighters Association will be holding their annual Fallen Firefighters Memorial March this Sunday.

A formal march will begin at Station 1, located at 815 Goyeau Street, and will proceed to St. Alphonse Cemetery on Ottawa Street.

Attendees can enjoy coffee and tea at the station prior to the march, which will begin at 12:15pm and proceed along its route for approximately 1.8km.

A Memorial Ceremony will follow at St. Alphonse Cemetery at 1pm. All active personnel and retired members are welcome to march in full dress.

After the ceremony, the Hook and Ladder, located at 3690 Seminole Street will be providing refreshments for all families, friends and participants.
