Environment Canada has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for Windsor and Essex County:
Severe thunderstorms possible late this afternoon and this evening.
This is an alert to the potential development of severe thunderstorms with large hail, damaging winds or heavy rainfall.
Conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms late this afternoon and this evening. Severe thunderstorms have already begun to develop in Michigan and are moving southeastward.
The main threats are expected to be large hail and damaging winds. There is also a risk of an isolated tornado.
