UPDATE: As of 5:40pm, Environment Canada has ended the Severe Thunderstorm Warning.
Environment Canada has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Windsor and Essex County.
A cluster of slow moving thunderstorms approaching the Windsor – Leamington – Essex County region from the west has very heavy rainfall associated. Total rainfall from these storms may reach or exceed 50 mm. Areas south of Windsor, including LaSalle and Amherstburg, are likely to receive the highest amounts. Further east, Essex and Leamington may also be at risk. Strong and gusty winds may also be associated with these thunderstorms.
