Environment Canada has issued a Rainfall Warning for Windsor-Essex.
They say:
Heavy rain and thunderstorms tonight.
A low pressure system approaching the Lower Great Lakes from the American Midwest is ushering in a warm and very moist airmass.
Scattered thunderstorms are expected to move across Southwestern Ontario late this evening and overnight with torrential downpours associated. Rainfall amounts of 50 mm or more are expected by Thursday morning, with areas adjacent to Lake Erie the most likely to receive the highest amounts.
