This is the first official summer weekend and Mother Nature has decided the weather should match the calendar.
Building heat over the American Midwest is slated to move into Southwestern Ontario today, and this has caused Environment Canada to issue a humidex advisory for this weekend and into next week.
Hot humid weather is expected to spread into Southwestern Ontario on Saturday with temperature readings in the low 30°C or 86°F, but the humidex values will reach past 40°C or 104°F, making conditions particularly uncomfortable.
There is little change in the forecast for the coming days as sultry humid air remains in place until well into next week.
This humidex advisory is expected to remain in effect until mid-week when a weak cold front may break the heat.
