Grace Hospital Is Gone

After almost three months of demolition, a farewell and a fire, the last pieces of Grace Hospital fell to the ground this afternoon.

Demolition started in early April at the Brett Building, progressed to portions of the back of the building, took apart a wing standing above the old hospital’s cafeteria and eventually saw the removal of beam-length sections of the main building.

Contractors will remove footings and the building’s foundation and will clear and level the site. Work is expected to wrap up in August.
