The Essex Region Conservation Authority has issued a flood warning until 4pm today.

Officials say rainfall amounts are exceeding 75 mm in certain parts of the region.

They warn that there are areas within the region where flood waters may not crest until later this morning or early in the afternoon. These areas are the lower reaches of the River Canard in the Towns of LaSalle and Amherstburg, and the northshore waterways within Lakeshore.

County Road 27 in Lakeshore south of Woodslee, the Laurier Parkway within the Town of LaSalle and Highway 401 between Provincial Road and Howard Avenue currently have water over top of paved areas to varying depths.
