Windsor’s first-ever craft beer festival has been approved by City Council.
The 1st Annual Windsor Craft Beer Fest will be held on October 18th and 19th this year at the corner of Wyandotte Street East and Argyle.
The event, being put on by award-winning culinary tourism company Windsor Eats, will be the first of its kind for our area which is home to only two craft breweries: Motor Craft Ales and the Walkerville Brewery.
The WCBF will host several craft breweries from across Ontario along with Windsor’s two, under the roofs of tents, right in the heart of Walkerville. Over 2000 people are anticipated to attend over the course of the two-day event. Argyle Road will be closed to allow patrons easy access to the neighbouring Walkerville Brewery.
Council approved the event under “Significant Municipal Event Status” and had no issues or questions.
Tickets will be on sale soon.
