Wyandotte Street East was closed just after noon today to westbound traffic at Drouillard after a commercial van struck a rail bridge support.
No one was injured in the crash, but damage to the front end of the van was substantial.
CN Rail will be inspecting the bridge — which is used daily by VIA Rail trains — for any signs of structural deficiency.
Police are investigating just how the van ended up leaving the roadway and striking the bridge support.
