A new grocery store is coming to Wyandotte Street East.
Construction has begun to convert a former bingo hall located at 3975 Wyandotte Street (at the corner of George) into a new No Frills store.
No Frills is owned by Loblaw Companies Limited and bills itself as having lower food prices. This will be the first No Frills location for Windsor. There are currently locations in Essex, Amherstburg and Tilbury.
Along with No Frills, there will also be other retail space available to lease.
This new development brings the site full circle. Many years ago before it was a bingo hall, the building was a grocery store.
