Amherstburg Police are investigating a single motor vehicle accident that has left two people in hospital with serious injuries.
Police say that the accident occurred over night at the intersection of Thomas Road and Alma Street.
The car left the road and crashed into a rear yard of a residence, and then burst into flames.
Both people where pulled from the car just before it burst into flames. Police say alcohol is a factor and that the accident is still under investigation.
