St. Clair College has received its highest ever Student Satisfaction ratings in figures released by the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities.

Since 1998 Key performance Indicators have been gathered annually by two independent research firms with the most recent data collected between March 2012 and February 2013.

The data released shows that for student satisfaction St. Clair College is rated at 79.4%, 2.3% above the provincial average of 77.1%.

The college also has received its highest ratings ever in the students ratings for Knowledge and Skills attained at the college at 90.1 %and Learning Experience at 84.4%. Both areas exceed the provincial averages of 87.2% and 80.5% respectively.

“Students value the higher education and relevant and focused job skills that come with a St. Clair College credential”, says Dr. John Strasser, President of St. Clair College. “This is not a surprise as we work with faculty, support staff and academic administrators to ensure that we are graduating students with job-ready skills”.

The students, for the third year in a row, have also indicated that they are pleased with the resources, new facilities and services provided at St. Clair College. Since 2010, St. Clair College students have provided ratings that exceed the provincial average in the categories of (1) Facilities and Resources and (2) Services.

“We have worked extremely hard to ensure student success”, says Strasser. “With a new HealthPlex at our Thames Campus, new learning facilities for our health sciences and trades and technology programs, and a new SportsPlex on the way in 2014, students are getting the kind of high quality education they expect in an environment that is conducive to learning and the enjoyment of extracurricular activities”.
