The last of three Windsor Zellers stores closes for good this week ending an era in retail shopping.
Tecumseh Mall’s Zellers is slated to lock its doors for the last time on Thursday. The diner in the store closed just before Christmas, and the store has been holding liquidation sales since Boxing Day.
Zellers has been a part of the mall for over 20 years; it was previously located at the mall’s north end, on two floors, and moved to its current location when K-Mart closed.
The Huron Church Zellers store closed last spring, and has since become a FreshCo, while the Devonshire Mall location is in its final construction phases and set to open in days as a Target store.
As for the Tecumseh Mall location: there are no future plans for the retail building at this time.
