Benefit For January’s I-75 Tragedy Is One Week Away

With just one week to go, organizers of the WE Take Care Of Our Own fundraising weekend are nervous, and thrilled, to enter the home stretch. Proceeds from the weekend are set to benefit the families affected by the I-75 accident in January.

“The outpouring of generosity and support from entertainers has been amazing. The show is unlike anything you’ve seen before” says Norm Ackland Jr, Elvis tribute artist and Friday night organizer.

“We’re ready to for Windsor Essex to come together – to take in great local acts on Friday and Saturday, and to enjoy Sunday’s family day” says Heather McAuley Saturday and Sunday organizer.

Friday March 22nd “A Night Of Stars For Angels” at the Serbian Centre at 6770 Tecumseh Road East starting at 6pm.

Las Vegas Style Tribute show featuring great tribute artists from Michael Buble, to Tom Jones, to Roy Orbison to Elvis through the decades. The night includes Dinner, dancing and music, along with a silent auction and raffles. Tickets are $50 with limited seating or $75 for premium seating.

Saturday March 23rd “WE Rock” Concert for a Cause at Serbian Centre at 6770 Tecumseh Road East starching at 7pm.

The evening will feature a ‘laundry list’ of who’s who in the Windsor Essex Music scene playing great music and eats and drinks. Featuring performances by Kerri Brown, Dusty, Coastline Band, Living The Dream and Area 51. Games, silent & live auctions and a sampler food buffet. will round out the evening fun. Tickets are $25 with limited seating.

Sunday March 24th – “WE Are Family” Fun Day at the St. Clair Centre For The Arts on Riverside Drive west from 12pm to 5pm.

The family fun afternoon will feature bouncy castles, jungle gyms, crafts, kids entertainment with snacks and lots of family fun. Cost is $10 per family.
