Alpha Gymnastics Academy is a new premier gymnastics center in Windsor/Essex.

The 10,500 square foot facility, located across from the WFCU arena complex on Lauzon Road is equipped with modern gymnastics equipment and is the creation of Olympian Robert Stanescu and his wife Ruxandra.

Both Ruxandra and Robert are from Romania and began in Gymnastics at the very early age of 4, and by age 14, had moved away from home and had been targeted as future national level gymnasts.

The pair have “developed programs, which will challenge children, provide them with the benefits that gymnastics can provide” and have now opened Alpha Gymnastics Academy.

Their goal is to get children started in Gymnastics and let them decide how far they want to go. If they just want to stay active and have fun, then they say the casual program is perfect for them. However, the pair says, if they fall in love with the sport and decide they want to see how far they can go, then after the casual program, they can move into the competitive program.

Alpha Gymnastics Academy is providing recreational classes for individuals from 18 months of age, to adulthood. Their sessions are 12 weeks long and prices vary. They also provide a competitive program for boys and girls.

Alpha Gymnastics Academy’s hours are Monday – Friday: 12pm – 9pm and Saturday 9am – 5pm
