History was made in Canadian Basketball Saturday night for the longest game ever played by any team in the National Basketball League of Canada, as the Windsor Express took the win over the Montreal Jazz.
The Jazz led into halftime by three points, but by the end of 3rd quarter, Windsor had a 12 point lead before Montreal had a strong comeback and tied the game which lead into the first overtime.
A free throw by Darren Duncan in triple overtime and 3.9 seconds on the clock solidified a win for the Express over Montreal Jazz 124-121.
The Express play their next home game at the WFCU Centre on January 18th at 7pm against last year’s runner-up champions, Halifax Rainmen. They will face the Rainmen at home for the first time since beating them at their opening game.
