Residents of Riverside, and those who use St. Rose Avenue as a shortcut from Wyandotte to Lauzon, will see significant changes to the roadway over the next year.
St. Rose Avenue, one of Riverside’s original thoroughfares, has been in poor condition for several years and at no point ever had actual curbs or gutters.
Work on the street, between Virginia Park and Fairview, will include new sewers and watermains, curbs and gutters and new paving.
The City of Windsor is spending $560,000 to repair the road that has begun to sink and crack due to heavy traffic volumes.
