A leading automotive software and data company is opening an office in Windsor.

Mayor Eddie Francis announced that the company, with offices in London and Detroit, has selected Windsor for a new location that will employ twenty people immediately, and plans to hire forty more within a year.

“Windsor has been a longtime hub for innovation in the automotive industry,” said Chris Wedermann, Executive Vice President, Autodata in a release, “and we are excited to recruit software technology professionals from a proven talent pool. This office will enhance our ability to deliver cutting edge solutions that help solve some of our clients’ most demanding technology challenges.”

Autodata’s new office will be located in east Windsor, on Lauzon Parkway.

Autodata, founded in 1990, provides automotive content, research, and technology implementation services to most of the auto manufacturers who distribute vehicles in North America, helping them develop market and sell their products more effectively and profitably. Autodata says their customizable ecommerce tools and content are utilized by over 90% of the largest fleet companies in North America and power millions of new vehicle orders annually.
