For those of you who tuned in to The Windsor Scene last week, thanks, first off. Also, I hope you enjoyed the live interview with Mike “Lefty” Houston. He is one knowledgeable and articulate fellow, and makes for pleasant company. And the traditional fiddle tunes he brought for our listening pleasure were quite awesome, as well. His show at The Stumble Inn with Cameron Rankin on Sunday was a success, for anyone who was curious but couldn’t make it out. For three hours a large crowd drank in their pleasant melodies while enjoying the food, drinks, and atmosphere of one of Sandwich Town’s best establishments.
This week we are unfortunately without any live company, but that does not mean we will be lonely! There will still be plenty of great local tunes throughout our time on air. As this is Halloween Weekend, there are plenty of celebratory shows happening, providing us with a lot of musical fodder. We will be hearing from locals such as Anonymous Bosch and Perpetuate, Those Guys, and even some Birds of Paradise. There will also be music from visiting acts Bend Sinister from Vancouver and Topanga from Toronto.
So make sure you tune in this Wednesday to CJAM 99.1 FM between 5 and 6:30 pm for The Windsor Scene, the best place for local music. We will also be streaming online, for those of you outside the broadcast range. And check out our iTunes podcast, for listening after the fact.
