UPDATE: The University says the St. Denis Complex will reopen Tuesday.
The St. Denis Centre, The Forge gym and the entire Human Kinetics complex at the University of Windsor has been shut down as of 1pm this afternoon after flooding was discovered in service tunnels that lead to the buildings.
The flooded utility tunnels provide high voltage electricity and high pressure steam to the buildings and as a precaution, UWindsor officials say Facility Services has had to shut down the power leading to the buildings.
The buildings will be closed to entry until the end of the day.
The University says Facility Services staff are working to drain the water in the service tunnels, determine the cause of the flooding, and restore electrical service.
