LaSalle Swimmer Amanda Reason and Team Place Fourth at London Olympics Medal Event

LaSalle swimmer Amanda Reason and her team have placed fourth in the Women’s 4x200m Freestyle Relay at the 2012 London Olympics.
The swimmers competed minutes ago and battled hard toward the podium. Team Canada held onto fourth place for most of the seven-minute race, briefly slipping to fifth place, and finished with a time of 7:50.65.
The United States won gold in the event with a time of 7:42.92, Australia took silver with a time of 7:44.41 and France won bronze with a time of 7:47.49.
Reason and her team came in third place in qualifying heats this morning with a time of 7:50.84, mere microseconds and a second behind the United States and Australia, respectively.
