The Blenheim Cherry Festival and Sidewalk Days kick off today, and run through Saturday in the small town of Blenheim, just a short distance outside Chatham. The festival is located up and down the main street, and features rides, sidewalk sales, live entertainment, and much more. There’s sure to be something for the whole family.
Here is the festival’s 3-day schedule:
Thursday, July 19, 2012
9am to 9pm: All day shopping
9am to 6pm: Rides courtesy of Carter Shows (all day pass $12+HST)
2pm to 4pm: Music by award-winning country singer/songwriter Jay Allan
4pm to 5pm: Demonstration by Blenheim Golden Eagles Gymnastics Club
5pm to 6pm: Erin’s Dance Club show
6pm to 7pm: Dancing by Debbie McGonigle School of Dance
7pm to 8pm: Steppin’ Out line dancers take the stage!

9am to 9pm: All day shopping
9am to 6pm: Rides courtesy of Carter Shows (all day pass $12+HST)
3pm to 5pm: Tryouts for the Cherry Pit Spit Contest (all ages welcome)
6pm: The Best Cherry Pie Eating Contest Ever! (Registration from 3-5 at McIntyre Pharmacy)
7pm to 10pm music by One Cowan
Performances by Kobbler Jay throughout the day

9am to 5pm: All day shopping and rides
9am to 12pm: Presentations by the CK Parrot Club
10am to 1pm: Horticultural Society “Container Garden Contest”
10am to 12pm: Cherry Pit Spit qualifying round
12:30pm: Cherry Pit Spit Champion Competition
