The Essex County OPP Crime Unit is currently investigating a report of an “unwarranted action” towards a female around 4pm Friday evening.
Police say that a 17 year old girl was jogging in the area of St. Thomas Street and Revland Road in Tecumseh, and when she stopped to rest, an adult woman approached the jogger and began small talk with the young lady. The chat lasted about 2-3 minutes and what Police will only describe as an “unwarranted action” took place, at which time the 17 year old female left the area. The adult female remained in the area, beside her van for 10-15 minutes.
Police are asking for assistance in locating the female suspect to ascertain her intentions during this interaction.
The vehicle is described as an older rusted red mini-van. Possibly an older Ford Windstar. Rear bumper has a lot of silver duct tape on it.
The woman is described as a larger framed female, weighting 5’9″ approximately 150lbs, with a round face and was white and very pale. She is estimated to be around 30 years of age.
She had light brown hair pulled in a bun on the top of head and was wearing a white night gown with a design on the front.
