Police Looking for Francois Road Thrower of Molotov Cocktail

Windsor Police are searching for a suspect after a “Molotov cocktail” incendiary device was thrown onto the driveway of a residence in the 1500 block of Francois Road around 8:20pm Monday night.
Witnesses were able to extinguish the flames which had spread to a nearby lawn before police arrived. Police interviewed a number of witnesses and the Forensic Identification Branch was also called and processed the scene for forensic evidence. Results of forensic testing are still pending.
Detectives from the Arson Unit are actively investigating this case, and possible motives for this attack are still being explored by investigators. There were no injuries in this incident and damage consisted of scorch marks to the driveway.
Police are looking for a suspect who was seen throwing a bottle containing a cloth and a flammable accelerant near the driveway; the suspect is described as a male white, approximately 18 years old, 5’8”, with a medium build and short dark hair.
